Christian women and her social disciplina in late antiquity
During the fourth century, the conflict between the Paganism and the Christianity coincided with another social and theological debate, centred on the condition and position of the women in the new Christian society. Images of the female body and its sexuality were literally expressed by the Christian writers of that period through the symbols with a clear social and political function.
