Una nueva lectura de los es critos filosóficos de Marco Aurelio permitirá comparar su visión de los hombres y del mundo con la que tenían sus súbditos cristianos. El análisis de los Pensamientos de Marco Aurelio nos servirá para contrastar la literatura cristiana con aquella de un funcionario romano que se sentía responsable de mantener al mismo tiempo el poder militar y la tolerancia cultural del imperio. A new reading of the philosophic writings of Marcus Aurelius will make possible compare his vision about the men and the world which those which had the christian citizens. The analysis of the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius will be good for contrastig the christian literature whith that of a roman government official who felt responsible to keep up, at the same time, the military power and the cultural tolerance of the Empire.
