Néstor : memoria épica y nóstos en Odisea 3.103-200

Abstract

EI canto 3 de Odisea contiene el primer relato concreto de nóstos de los aqueos en el discurso de Néstor (3.103-200) y este discurso colabora con la funcionalidad literaria de! canto 3, que consiste, esencialmente, en completar ante Telémaco y el auditorio potencial, el episodio de la guerra de Troya, con los episodios inmediatos previos al regreso y con el regreso en si mismo. El discurso de Néstor, presentado como acto de la memoria, con una estructura argumentativa menos artificiosa que los demás discursos nósticos, por su carácter intrínseco parece responder a una elaboración propia de los proemios. Mediante el análisis filológico literario del discurso de Odisea 3.103-200, intentaremos demostrar que el personaje de Néstor desempeña un papel de mediador transicional, que su funcionalidad reproduce el sentido de la etimología plausible para su nombre y que el discurso particular que se analiza constituye el preámbulo necesario para el desarrollo de la temática nóstica en el relato posterior de Menealo.

The Third Chant of the Odyssey contains the first concrete account about the nostos of the Achaeans in Nestor's Speech (3.103-200) and this speech contributes with the literary function of the third chant; essentially, it consists in completing in the presence of Telemachos and the potential audience the episode of Trojan War, with the next previous episodes and with the return in itself. Nestor's Speech, presented as an act of memory, with an argumentative structure that is less artificial than the other speeches of returns, because of its Intrinsic character it seems to be a form of eiaboration that is pertinent to the poems. Through the philological-literary analysis of the discourse of Odyssey 3.103-200, we will try to prove that the character of Nestor plays the role of transitional mediator, whose function reproduces the sense of the etymology plausible for his name and that the speech analyzed is the preamble necessary for the development of the thematic of return in the posterior account of Menelaos.
