University student desegregation generates a socioeconomic problem on the development of students and educational institutions. It refers to the total number of the students who enroll to a university career or a curricular activity subtracting the desertion and contemplating also the different rhythms of each student. Histology I, is studied in the career of Veterinary Medicine at the UNLPam in the 2nd semester of the first year, has an historical result of low level regularization (only 35% of students regularized it, average data from 2006 to date). Many students who do not achieve regularization leave the career or begin to fall behind. The students who study Histology I in 2016 will be characterized by their predominant features and different results will be evaluated according to demographic, socioeconomic and academic variables using a duration model (Kaplan Meier) and a semi-parametric proportional hazard model Cox. Results are expected to evaluate and design strategies that upgrade retention in the career and improve the performance of students in the subject.
