The growing quantity of pampean municipalities that they use its domiciliary residuals with the objective of the recovery and revaluation of the materials and gotten products demands more and more precise definitions in certain topics. The compostaje is one of the key topics for two reasons, on one hand the organic residuals they constitute most of the domiciliary residual s and for another due to that quantity and characteristic of the compost and lombricompuesto that you can get, it can become an economic but important element of the system. To achieve a good quality of the fertilizer and that this is used as improvement or organic fertilizer for fertilization of ground where eatable vegetables are cultivated and don't cause damages in the health, one of the morte important topics is the concentration of heavy metals present in the same one and the transfer to the vegetables that is developed in that fertile soil, this is the fundamental objective ofthis communication. The CO.PRO.BA (Provincial Consortium ofthe Garbage) assumed this aspect having as objective to achieve quantities and qualities that allow the insert of this product in different markets. To be able to determine the transferability of the heavy metals in study (Cd, Pb, Hg, Ar) the concentration of the same in the lombricompuesto was first analyzed, then the ground was fertilized where the transplant oft omato's plant was carry out,(lipersicum esculetum mill)and later when the vegetable completed its cycle of growth, one proceeded to carry out the sampling in leaf and fruit to determine the heavy metal's concentration in in. From the obtained data of the concentration of heavy metal s in the vegetable it is deduced that the values are low what demonstrate that there was not transfer of them from that fertile soil to the vegetable in study under those climatic conditions.
