La enunciación del espacio en Traquinias : construcción y aniquilamiento del ámbito doméstico

Abstract

Un aspecto característico del teatro griego es la puesta en tensión de la relación no sólo entre diferentes espacios sino también entre lugares que son visibles y otros que no lo son. En esta ocasión, nos detendremos en el vínculo, en la tragedia griega, entre los espacios exterior e interior del palacio y en su punto de conexión: la puerta de la σκηνή . Partimos de la convicción de que este umbral es un punto clave de análisis, pues conecta esos ámbitos, que se corresponden a valoraciones especialmente significativas en el imaginario griego y que, además, se integran de un modo revelador en el universo trágico. Traquinias se presenta como una obra privilegiada para abordar esta problemática, pues en esta tragedia los diferentes espacios y el contacto entre ellos son aspectos fundamentales para el desarrollo de la trama. En el marco general de la Semiótica del teatro, abordaremos desde la Lingüística de la enunciación los elementos de la σκηνή que, mediante la referencia a los movimientos de los cuerpos de los actores, organizan el espacio discursivo y hacen posible la presencia, en la escena, de la dimensión oculta del espacio interior.

One typical aspect of the Greek theatre is the tension created in the relationship between not only different spaces but also between places that are visible and those which are not. In this occasion we will focus our attention on the bond, in the Greek tragedy, between the external and the inner spaces in the palace and their point of connection: the σκηνή door. We start from the conviction that this threshold is a key point of analysis, since it connects these spaces which correspond to especially significant appreciations in the Greek imaginary and that, besides, they integrate themselves in a revealing way in the tragic universe. Traquinias presents itself as a privileged play to tackle this issue, since in this play the different spaces and the contact among themselves are fundamental aspects for the development of the plots. In the general framework of the Semiotics of the Theatre, we will approach from the Linguistics of Enuntiation the elements of the σκηνή that, through the reference to the movement of the actor’s bodies, they organize the discursive space and they make it possible the presence, in the scene, of the hidden dimension of the inner space.
