The objective of this work was to evaluate the different specific riches and relative abundance birds in three places in calden forest with different disturbance grade: a) place dedicated to tourism, b) burn forest, and c) non disturbance forest. Those three places are located in the Reserva Provincial Parque Luro, in the southwest of La Pampa Province. The birds were sampling by point counts; with a total of eight points in each place, separated among at less than 200 meters. All point counts were carried out during the 2008 reproductive season. We have registered a total of 36 bird’s species, 25 of them were resident and 11 migratory. The relative abundance was marginally not significant (F: 2.98; p<0.08), being mainly the burnt area the most abundant due to the Zenaida auriculata presence, that use these area for nest. The specific richness was smaller in this area while it didn´t have differences in the area of tourism and the non disturbance area (F: 4.69; p<0.05). However, majority species present in the area of tourism were generalist or edge species, like it is the case of Pyrocephalus rubinus, which was very scarce in the non disturbance area and abundant in the tourism area. In the order hand, Elaenia parvirostris, considered a species of the interior of the calden forest, was present in non disturbance area and absent in the other two places. Our result shows clearly that the areas that have suffered fires lose diversity while those dedicated to the tourism are occupied by generalist species or edge species.
