Ortodoxia versus heterodoxia : un combate desigual en el cristianismo latino (siglos II-VI)

Abstract

Este proyecto de investigación explora la construcción del primer cristianismo y la crisis doctrinaria en el mundo romano durante el afianzamiento de la iglesia oficial. Sus ejes se centran en indagar hasta qué punto la tensión ortodoxia-heterodoxia aparece como factor amenazante del orden legitimado por la iglesia en el período considerado. Para ello se propone identificar y conceptualizar el universo valorativo y el conflicto de intereses que se ocultan detrás de esta tensión y su exteriorización discursiva constituye el objetivo prioritario del proyecto, que apela, como recurso hermenéutico, al análisis del discurso de los sectores de la jerarquía eclesiástica para controlar conciencias y neutralizar el influjo del ideario primitivo. El segundo objetivo se orienta a ponderar el alcance de cultos paganos en las prácticas piadosas y el rol que la iglesia oficial y el poder secular desempeñaron para resguardar la pureza ideológica y combatir conductas ôheréticasö.

This project explores the construction of the first christianity and the doctrinal crises in the roman world during the consolidation of the official church. It looks into what extent the tension orthodoxy-heterodoxy appears like a threatening factor in the order legitimated by the church in this period. It aims to identify and conceptualize the universe and the conflict of interests that lie behind this tension. Its discursive externalization constitutes the main aim of this project which appeals, as a hermeneutical resource, to the discourse analysis of the sectors of the ecclesiastical hierarchy to control consciousness and to neutralize the inflow of the primitive ideology. The second objective aims at considering the scope of pagan cults in the pious practices and the role that the official church and the secular power exerted to protect the ideological purity and to fight heretical conducts.
