Comparación de cinco metodologías de estimación de la evapotranspiración para cuatro localidades de la pampa húmeda y semiárida argentina

Abstract

El proceso de Evapotranspiración (ET) constituye el medio de reingreso de la humedad a la atmósfera desde las plantas y el suelo. Esto lo torna como un factor clave a la hora de la administración del recurso agua, principalmente para regiones de llanuras como las Pampas Argentinas. La necesidad de una estimación precisa de la ET lleva a sopesar distintas metodologías de estimación. En este trabajo se comparó la dinámica de cuatro metodologías de estimación de ET (Priestley-Taylor <PT>, Hargreaves-Samani <Hg>, Turc <Tu> y Thornthwaite <Tw>) respecto al método estándar de FAO (Penman-Monteith <PM>), mediante el análisis de regresión lineal simple, para cuatro localidades de la Pampa Húmeda y Semiárida Argentina: Chacharramendi y Anguil, (La Pampa); General Villegas y Castelar (Buenos Aires). Los resultados obtenidos mensualmente, muestran que la metodología de Hg se presenta como la opción más viable para las localidades de Chacharramendi y Anguil (ambiente Semiárido y Subhúmedo respectivamente), mostrando también un buen comportamiento para la localidad de General Villegas (Subhúmedo/húmedo), mientras que PT mostró un buen ajuste respecto a PM para Castelar (ambiente Húmedo). Los resultados obtenidos por las metodologías de Tu y Tw si bien presentan un buen ajuste (r>0.88), el sesgo entre sus resultados y el estándar es muy grande para todas las localidades, siendo Tw el método con peor ajuste respecto a PM de los métodos evaluados.

The process of evapotranspiration (ET) is the means of re-entring of moisture into the atmosphere from plants and soil. It is a key factor in the management of water resources, especially for regions like the Pampas Argentine plains. Accurate estimation of ET leads to the necessity to weigh different methodologies as regards estimation, some more appropriate than others. The dynamics of four methodologies for estimating ET (Priestley-Taylor <PT>, Hargreaves-Samani <Hg>, Thornthwaite <Tw> and Turc <Tu>) compared to the standard method of FAO (Penman-Monteith <PM>) by a simple lineal regression analysis of four locations in the Humid and Semiarid Argentine Pampas: Chacharramendi and Anguil, (La Pampa); General Villegas and Castelar (Buenos Aires). Monthly results show that the methodology Hg presented as the most viable option for Chacharramendi and Anguil localities (Semi-arid and sub-humid environment respectively), which also performs appropriately in General Villegas town (Semi wet to wet), while PT showed a good adjustment as regards PM in Castelar (Humid environment). Although the results obtained by the Tu and Tw methodologies show a good adjustment (r>0.88), the bias between their results and the standard is very large for all locations, Tw being the worst method of adjusting the PM evaluated methods.
